My husband and I started this venture first as a necessity. Our daughter Jessica was diagnosed with Celiac Disease when she was 9. Having been brought up on home cooking and baking, she had a very hard time with what I was trying to pass off as good food and especially yummy desserts. Not to mention we have two other kids that wanted nothing to do with 'her' food.

So, I started my very tedious and most of the time frustrating job of taking my traditional family recipes and modifying them. When I felt I had it right I would taste test it through kids (because you can't get more honest or blunt than them) and NON- GLUTEN FREE people (because they always have the desserts I'm shooting for). If anyone made the slightest face or had a comment on the texture being off, it went into the trash and I went back to experimenting until I got it perfect. It has been two long years but I'm happy to say that everyone that has our baked items have no idea they are eating GF food. My kids are now 18, 14, and 12 and their friends jump at their desserts. One of the best things for me as a parent is seeing my daughter really enjoy her dessert like everyone else and have them all enjoy it with her. She no longer gets the scrunched up face from her friends. Now she has to share, which she loves!!
